Our goal was to create a unique artistic event commemorating the 50th anniversary of the tragic death of <strong data-start=\"468\" data-end=\"492\">Konrad Swinarski<\/strong> \u2013 a renowned Polish director.<\/p><p data-start=\"541\" data-end=\"886\">As part of this year\u2019s <strong data-start=\"578\" data-end=\"609\">Summer Theatre Garden<\/strong> , we aimed to organize a <strong data-start=\"621\" data-end=\"642\">panel exhibition<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"648\" data-end=\"692\">the ceremonial unveiling of a temporary sculpture<\/strong> by <a href=\"https:\/\/bogumilburzynski.pl\">Bogumi\u0142 Burzy\u0144ski<\/a>We also planned to screen a documentary film and introduce the figure of Swinarski to a wider audience \u2013 both the devoted attendees of the Summer Theatre Garden and the residents of Katowice.<\/p><p data-start=\"888\" data-end=\"981\">Although the project did not receive funding from Teatrogranty, we still believe in its value and significance.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:spacer --><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d0fef0c e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"d0fef0c\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b072fd0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"b072fd0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h6 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">What was the project about?<\/h6>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-aab8555 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"aab8555\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"1017\" data-end=\"1324\">The project was intended as <strong data-start=\"1041\" data-end=\"1063\">an open-air exhibition<\/strong> displayed throughout the entire duration of the festival, set in the arcades of Katowice City of Gardens. The highlight of the event was to be <strong data-start=\"1212\" data-end=\"1246\">the unveiling of a sculpture<\/strong> (made of acrylic resin) on August 16th, in the main hall of the Katowice City of Gardens.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:spacer --><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cfd06ce e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"cfd06ce\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f813831 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f813831\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h6 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Who is behind it?<\/h6>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-057e455 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"057e455\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"1589\" data-end=\"1756\">The project was submitted by <strong data-start=\"1620\" data-end=\"1683\">the Bogumi\u0142 Burzy\u0144ski Foundation for Silesia, Culture and Art<\/strong>, with the support and collaboration of well-known figures from Katowice\u2019s cultural scene:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1758\" data-end=\"2026\"><li data-start=\"1758\" data-end=\"1809\"><p data-start=\"1760\" data-end=\"1809\"><strong data-start=\"1760\" data-end=\"1781\">Bogumi\u0142 Burzy\u0144ski<\/strong> - sculptor, author of the project<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1810\" data-end=\"1862\"><p data-start=\"1812\" data-end=\"1862\"><strong data-start=\"1812\" data-end=\"1832\">Miros\u0142aw Neinert<\/strong> \u2013 director of the Korez Theatre and the Summer Theatre Garden<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1863\" data-end=\"1910\"><p data-start=\"1865\" data-end=\"1910\"><strong data-start=\"1865\" data-end=\"1890\">Maria Katarzyna Gliwa<\/strong> \u2013 curator of the exhibition<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1911\" data-end=\"1969\"><p data-start=\"1913\" data-end=\"1969\"><strong data-start=\"1913\" data-end=\"1936\">Prof. J\u00f3zef Opalski<\/strong> \u2013 expert on Swinarski\u2019s work<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1970\" data-end=\"2026\"><p data-start=\"1972\" data-end=\"2026\"><strong data-start=\"1972\" data-end=\"1991\">Sergiusz Bro\u017cek<\/strong> \u2013 artistic support for the project<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p><!-- \/wp:spacer --><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-12babe0 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"12babe0\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e283554 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"e283554\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h6 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">What's next?<\/h6>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d01bdc0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d01bdc0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"2374\" data-end=\"2638\">Although we were unable to secure funding from Teatrogranty to present the project, this does not mark the end of the initiative. We still believe in the importance of commemorating Swinarski in the public space of Katowice, and we will continue to seek other forms of support \u2014 financial, institutional, and community-based.<\/p><p data-start=\"2640\" data-end=\"2771\">This project is more than just an exhibition.
